Master's thesis Henri Tomasi, André Jolivet, Eugene Bozza and their compositions for trumpet, are devoted to three important 20th century musicians. The work in the first chapter deals with the development of the french composition and trumpet school, at the beginning of this century. In addition, is about each of the three personalities in each chapter. There is always a CV with a focus on the contribution to the development of the trumpet repertoire and the analysis of one of the author's compositions.
Methodological preparation of playing trumpet from elementary art schools to universities

Diploma thesis Methodological preparation of playing trumpet from elementary art schools to universities is dedicated to preparation of playing trumpet across all levels of study. It is focused on research of basic skills needed for improvement of the right way of playing trumpet, such as exercising for regular diaphragmatic breathing and with all activites that lead to this way of breathing, also with making of embouchure and all complications that can occur during playing. It is also dealing with the instructions, which is the best way to follow from the very beginning of playing trumpet, and offers simple solutions to possible difficulties. It is also focused on suitable methodological schools which are effective on teaching and on psychological preparation of interpreter.
Significant school method for the trumpet and their contribution to solving the problems of trumpet playing

In this Master Thesis is reported a summary of the most important school methods for trumpet, together with details of their authors. There are described the lives of Jean - Baptiste Arban, Herbert Lincoln Clarke, Charles Colin, Claude Gordon and Jaroslav Kolar. The next chapter describes the three most important methodological books by J. B Arban and H. L. Clarke and these books are discussed in detail. In these analyzes are the views of the authors, together with detailed descriptions and tips which are transferred to student by exercises. These exercises are focused on different aspects which are associated with the trumpet playing. (technique, lips flexibilities, correct breathing).
Trumpet in the baroque period

The main goal of this thesis was to process and complete the information about trumpeters of the baroque period that worked or were born in the Czech lands and to prepare a list of those the most important. Further, this thesis dealt with salaries and the standard of living of Czech trumpeters which give insight into the world of artists of that period. The thesis views those conditions also in the context of different workplaces of the musicians performing both profane and sacred music.
